Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is an organization for students interested in public relations and communications. The Walter E. Griscti Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America (USF PRSSA) is a nationally affiliated, pre-professional student organization. PRSSA is made up of more than 11,000 students and advisers organized into 300 plus Chapters in the United States, Argentina, Colombia and Peru.
We are active during the spring and fall semesters. Meetings can range from workshops or guest speakers to networking events. They are every other Thursday at 6 p.m. in CIS 3012, which is on the third floor of the Zimmerman School of Advertising and Mass Communications.
PRSSA seeks to advance the public relations profession by nurturing generations of future professionals. Our aim for our members is to enhance their education, broaden their network and launch their careers in public relations by doing the following:
- Enhancing knowledge of public relations and providing access to professional development
- Helping develop highly-qualified, well-prepared professionals
- Connect members with local PR professionals in the Tampa Bay area and be a resource for internships and scholarships
