10 PR Pros You Need to Be Following on Twitter

Whether we’re tweeting about our hilarious roommates, pitching reporters or getting the hottest Buzzfeed article of the day, we all love Twitter. Many of us have been or will be asked to begin following PR pros for our classes or jobs, but where do we start? We came up with this list of PR pros designed specifically for our chapter. Happy following!

  1. @PRSA

This is a group you should already be following and potentially be a member of.  The Public Relations Society of America’s official twitter account keeps you informed with valuable content and public relations news alerts.

  1. @PRSATampaBay

Our local chapter of PRSA, PRSA Tampa Bay will keep you posted with Bay area job listings, events and content creation. Be sure to tune in for great opportunities to improve your skill set and your career!

  1. @PRSAJobCenter

An excellent follow, the PRSA Job Center, will connect you to open positions across the country in public relations, marketing and communications. Find your next career move here!

  1.  @PRSATactics

Another branch of PRSA’s social media, PRSA’s PR Tactics is an award-winning source for its namesake, tactics. This is an excellent follow for those looking to stay up to date on growing trends and strategies.

  1. @TheresaWoodsPR

A more personal addition, Tess Woods is a PR major at the University of South Florida. A truly fun follow if you can look past her New England Patriots fandom, Tess is a PR pro on the rise.

  1. @IngridKibler

Ingrid Kibler is a pro from HCK2 Partners and will be a welcome addition to your feed. Posting only what will benefit you. Ingrid Kibler will help you develop your blog topics, streamline your social media and keep you up to date on news and trends.

  1. @AxiaPR

A Tampa based PR firm, Axia Public Relations’ twitter will supply you with daily reminders of the value of PR.

  1. @PatrickCoffee

Patrick Coffee is a Brooklyn native who operates Agency Spy and PR Newser for Adweek. While you should definitely follow both of those handles, Patrick Coffee will definitely fill your feed with both educational and entertaining content, though not necessarily in that order.

Omnicom Group is a global marketing giant who is the parent company of many PR firms such as Ketchum PR. Their twitter will keep you well-informed and entertained with marketing and PR news and trends.

  1. @PRDaily

PR Daily is Ragan Communications’ delivery system for PR and marketing news, trends, events and content. The page will be sure you know what you need to know, whether that be pitfalls to avoid or tools to use.
